Home

August 25th, 2009

Last Thursday, I hoped on a bus and I went home. Today is supose to be my last day here and I’m supose to travel back on Wednesday. I called my work on Saturday to get my schedule for the week and they said that they had nothing for me from Thursday to Sunday so I’ve decided to extend my trip until Friday and go back on that day. It gives me an extra two days at home. It’s been pretty great and my mom’s acgtually been behaving. She hasn’t tried to start any fights or anything.

Today is my laundry day (since I only brought enough clothes to last me until tommorow) and I get to dig in my closet and figure out if there’s anything I want to bring back with me. This is going to be a very long day people!

Web Hosting

August 12th, 2009

You know, I’ve thought a lot about getting my own domain and getting my site hosted on my own. For me, it’s always been a financial thing. So I’ve always been very grateful for my host Janey. However, if fianances weren’t an issue, ie I wasn’t a student and I didn’t have loans to pay, then I would definitely get my own site. But then comes the question of, who do you pick. There are so many web hosts available out there.

I found this site Webhostinggeeks.com who review AND rate web hosting companies. This makes it so much easier for me to find a web hosting company that has a pretty decent price and has the space that I need for a price that I can afford!

This web site hosting has so many categories that you will be able to find a web hosting company that will fit your need. So if you’re looking to host your own blog or site, I definitely recommend this website!

They also have a blog that offers great information on web sites. One of their blog posts at the moment is about Five Hosting Misconceptions. Not only does the blog give you useful information, but it does reviews too!

This website is so helpful. I recommend that you go and use it!

Going home!

August 12th, 2009

So I checked with the manager at work that does the scheules and I asked her if she’d done the one for next week and she said yes. I asked her if I got the time off and she said yes! I’m going home! Woooohoooo! Aug 20th-26th baby! I left last August for school and I’ve only been home once. And it wasn’t for Chirstmas either. It’s just really expensive to go home.

But I’m going and that’s what matters.
