Web hosting?

March 16th, 2009

For a while now, Ive been thinking about getting hosted on my own and opening up my own site. I found this site, web site hosting, and I think its pretty good.

Their prices are good, and their website is easy to find and locate. Right off the bat it brings you to the top ten hosting sites on the net and their prices and gives you a chart that compares all ten of them. Who could for more? I have been looking at different web hosting companies for a while now and let me tell you that sometimes it’s really hard to compare them site by site. Its so much easier to have a chart that does all the work for you!

There is also a section on Hosting awards for like best blogs, PHP etc that can really help, depending on what youre looking for. Personally for me, I just need something that will host a blog, so having those categories there made my life a heck of a lot easier!

Please visit this websites blog to find out more information about them! Theyve really helped me and I bet that they can really help you, so go and dont delay. It will be worth your time to check these guys out.

Three Pepper Stirfry

March 14th, 2009

The finished product! I made this stirfry tonight for dinner and it was great! It had an nice light taste for a dark coloured stirfry.

You don’t always need to use all the ingredients in a recipe. What’s great about them is that you can experiment.

Beef — 1lbs or 454g or amount you want

Oyster Sauce — 2 tbsp. or 30mL
Garlic Cloves — 2 or 1/2 tsp/2mL of powder

Green Pepper — 1
Red Pepper — 1
Yellow Pepper — 1
Onion, thinly sliced — 1
Celery Ribs — 2

Beef Broth — 1/2 cup or 125mL
Soy Sauce — 1tbsp or 15mL
Cornstarch — 2tsp or 10mL
Brown Sugar — 1tsp or 5mL
Dried Crushed Chilies — 1/4 tsp or 1mL

  • Cut meat into thing strips
  • Cut peppers into thin strips, onion into thin wedges and celery into small pieces
  • Combine oyster sauce and garlic into a bowl. Add meat, stir, cover, and chill in fridge for 1 hour
  • Stir the last 5 ingredients into a bowl, put aside.
  • Heat fry pan/wok and add 1 tbps/15mL of oil. When heated, add meat and cook until desired doneness. Remove and put into a bowl off to the side.
  • Add vegetables and stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp
  • Put beef and sauce in and mix.
  • Heat until boiling and let thicken.
  • Stir before serving on rice, pasta or noodles **

*If you don’t have any of the vegetables listed here, use whatever you have on hand. I personally just buy the NoName oriental frozen veggie mix and use that all the time. It’s a good mix of vegetables!

**You should really make this first because rice, pasta or noodles (depends on type of noodle) take the longest.

As midterm seasons comes to an end, finals creep closer

March 14th, 2009

I don’t think it’s fair that they make midterms and finals so close. I mean, I just finished my 2nd Spanish  midterm on Monday and I start finals in like 3 weeks! How is that even fair…not to mention that I’m so tired from job hunting and everything else. Hopefully I get hired soon. That would be nice.

My friend S has gone home for the weekend and J has locked herself in her room so it’s gonna be one heck of a boring weekend for me! Thankgod its halfway done!
