Far, far away, maybe in another life

April 26th, 2008

I’m exicted and nervous at the same time. I’m leaving for University. I’m leaving home. I’m scared. My life has been stable for so long and now it won’t be. I’ll be moving constantly for four or five years. I’ll have tons of different part time jobs.

I’m scared to be alone. I’m not a social person. I don’t know how. I’m a lot better than I use to be, but I’m still very self-concious. I care too much about what other people think. I have no self-esteem what so ever. I want to stop caring and I want to start living. I hope university will change that. I want to change. No, I need to change.

Kleptocracy

April 6th, 2008

I went shopping with my mom yesterday. She had to pick up some groceries and I needed to get some stuff. I bought a new bag, two pairs of shoes and two new sunglasses. I needed a new purse because my current one is breaking and falling apart. My sunglasses that I JUST bought broke too. I love the new ones though. I can’t believe how much I spent though! Over $100 yesterday. It’s really scary how much I spent. It made me feel really good to have new things though!

I went to the public library yesterday to get a few books. When I couldn’t find them on the shelves I looked them up on the computer. It said they were there but the books were no where to be found. One of the librarians who I know, M, said that they were most likely stolen. I had most of the books in that series at home and I returned them today. There was one of the books there, but the book that was between that one and the last one I read was missing. It just makes me really mad that people would steal from a library! The books are free anyway! Why would you steal from the library?! You can take it out as many times as you want. I can see stealing from a bookstore, but a library. That just pisses me off. How low can people go? Apparently over 400 books have been stolen in the last 3 years from our town library. People are idiots, I swear to god!

P.S. Kleptocracy is a word believe it or not. ;)
