Last minute preperations

So as my last post had said, I was supose to hang out with Haley yesterday but that didn’t work out. She had work and other stuff to do and she was going out of town today so we were going to meet Wednesday (tommorow) morning to see me off. However, she calls at 11 last night and tells me that they’re staying overnight because of some concert so we agree to meet at 8:30-9 am at her place, because she didn’t have to leave until 12:30.

So we hung out, went to the mall to get Tim Hortons and lunch, I walked her to the mall exit (I had to stay because I had stuff to get and I was meeting my mom) and we said goodbye. On the bright side I didn’t cry when we said goodbye but I started to tear afterwards and I’m starting to tear a little now.

It was the biggest thunderstorm this afternoon. We were waiting in the parking lot to the postal office so I could mail the rest of my stuff and it just started pooring. We finally get in after a 10-15 minute wait, and they ring up my stuff but the debit machine was down. So we had to wait like 30 minutes while she gets it up and running and then they had to put everything back in again. It was so frustrating.

I had gone to the bank earlier to get a few voided cheques and it started pooring (this was before postal office). My mom was in the car accross the street in the car with my umbrella. So I was stuck because it was raining and I was in ballet flats which don’t go well with rain and I had on long track pants so I was rolling them up because the rain was slowing down when my mom motions that she’s going to bring the car around. Just as she’s doing that, one of the bank tellers came with an umbrella and offered to walk me across the street to my car. She had heard me tell the teller I had that my umbrella was in my car lol. It was so sweet of her, and I thanked her even though I didn’t take her up on her offer.

A tragic goodbye?

My best friend in the world is gone right now so the few days that I have left I can’t spend with her. She went to the States for vacation to visit her grandfather for a week like a week and a bit ago, then she left on Thursday to goto Toronto for some reason and she’s coming back Sunday night because she has to work. She’s then taking off again on Tuesday. I leave Wednesday. The only day I get to see her is like Monday. It kinda sucks that I can’t spend more time with my best friend before I leave, but whatever, I guess I’ve got to make the most of the time. I’m probably going to start crying when I say goodbye to her on Monday. She’s like the only person that’s stuck with me through all the crap that I’ve pulled this year. I’m really going to miss her.

On a brighter note, I just need to find a box to put my shoes in and I’m done! I’ve packed almost all my clothes (minus my winter stuff which are currently sitting in boxes at my dad’s place) into 2 suitcases. Granted, one suitcase has my saxophone in it lol because I can’t carry 2 suitcases, saxophone, laptop, purse and blue carryone bag and a pillow! xD I put it in the bigger one and it takes up like 1/2 the space in there lol. I’ve got some clothes that I’m not bringing with me so those will be the clothes that I’ll wear between now and the day that I leave.

Almost Time

Wow, it’s been quite some time since I’ve last posted! I’ve been kind of busy hanging out with friends and packing. I’m leaving for vacation on the 6th of August and I won’t be back up here in my hometown. My dad’s about an hour away from my university so I’m staying with him for the last two weeks of August before I move in.

He couldn’t come up and get me because he threw out his back so I’ve been shipping my boxes down to him by mail. It’s really expensive, let me tell you that. For about 14 boxes, I’ve already spent over $280. I’ve still got a few more that I’m shipping on the day that I leave. I’ll be at his place for two days after I arrive so I should be home to get the boxes.

After that, we drive to my Godmothers for my Godfathers party, I stay for a week, then I goto my Grandmothers for a few days and the last two, two and a half weeks are spent at my dads. One problem though. My dad’s can’t/refusing to take time off of work so I’ll be home alone all day. Ya! Not. Granted, it gives me time to get some stuff that I still need like bras and stuff but still. Would it kill him to take like 2 or 3 days off so we can spend some time together when he’s not tired as hell?
